Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American singer and actress. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment at an early stage of her life. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In the same year, she also began classes in acting. Bell was credited with a minor role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. The school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell went to an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater within New York City. Bell quit college in 2001 when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit with Pootie Tang during 2001. Her scene, however, was trimmed and now Bell's only role is the final credits. Bell appeared with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
