
Teri Hatcher was born Teri Lynn Hatcher on December 8, 1964 in Palo Alto California. Her mother Esther was an engineer at Lockheed Martin computer programmer, and her father Owen was an electrical engineer, nuclear physicist. She was born by Esther. Teri was a ballet student at the San Juan School of Dance and was raised in Sunnyvale, California. Fremont High School was where she was the Featherettes the dance captain. She also was presented with the "Most likely to be the Solid Gold Dancer" award. Hatcher was a graduate of De Anza College, where she was a mathematician and engineer. She also took acting classes at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri revealed that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually assaulted her from the age of five. She also assisted Santa Clara County prosecutors in their case against Stone following the 14-year-old victim of Stone's committed suicide. Stone received a sentence in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of molestation, and later died of colon cancer while in prison.
